Sorry to tell you that would be near impossible, the digital one runs from a speed signal

'Aftermarket' electric speed signal generators are available, i once needed to use one when i fitted a cruise control kit to a vehicle some years ago.
The generator can be used to supply a digital speedo though it would need to be calibrated.

They can be either drive shaft driven (2 small magnets and a pick-up sensor 'tie-wrapped' to a prop or drive shaft) or there is a version that is driven by the speedo cable to give an electric speed signal.

Here is part of an article relating to a speed generator....

VSS
Most all vehicles today have what is known as a VSS ( Vehicle Speed Signal ) wire. This wire provides the signal the cruise control will monitor to maintain a constant speed. But for those that do not have a VSS wire, including older vehicles, a signal generator or a pick up coil and magnets can be added to monitor the vehicle's speed.

I am 99% certain that the mileometer is the same as on the 124 of the same year, and there are plenty of those around.

There is a cluster on Ebay right now

The sad thing is here that all the bits in yours have part number and were built so that part could be replaced
