Hi all my sisters husband is looking at getting a s320cdi 2001 model as the prices are good at the moment around 8k his is limit so can anyone tell us the good & the bad about this car any help will be grateful i do not now this car but i believe the s class are good this will be his first Mercedes

well no help on this one then but its OK he has got the one he likes & to be honest its got to be one of the best Mercedes i have seen i may get one myself for 7 1/2k 2001 137000 miles with all the toys full MBSH

Sorry it was saturday hence maybe no one got around to replying to the post. Anyway it doesnt matter now anyway but S class is full of gadgets and just need to ensure that all of them still work.

Also check that all the services were carried out at right intervals and done by Merc. Also check if you can match the MOT's to verify the mileage.

To check MOTs go to http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/ and put in the reg and V5 document no. This will give you the MOT history as well as a mileage check. As others have saide make sure EVERYTHING electrical works. They can be expensive to fix.

This one has been debadged, but whilst the top of the add suggests it is a 320CDI, the engine capacity in the add is given as 2.8 L. Make sure it is a diesel and not an S280.
