Just bought a new ML350 a month ago and then took a 4000 miles roadtrip.
I had doubts about buying a ML based on issues with the older models but after spending many hours behind the wheel it really is a great piece of engineering excellence. I'm sure there will be some problems but so far I have had great experience in service from our Mercedes dealership when issues happened on my other two Mercedes.
In my opinion there is definitely a change in Mercedes with a number of new models and great designs. I also own a 2003 E320 and 2004 CLK320 which have had some issues (all fixed under warranty). I'm optimistic that quality is returning to Mercedes like in the past.
I know the car is complex but it's all the whistles and bells that makes it so great.
