New CLK Coupe

Hello,

I have just joined the forum in the hope that someone may be able to let me know their thoughts/experiences of the latest CLK coupe.

I am about to make the jump into mercedes-benz ownership and I am looking at the new CLK 200K coupe.

Your advice would be appreciated.

I have had a CLK 240 Auto for almost a year. Everything is superb. The computer is telling me the first service will be required at 15,000 miles. The only problem I have had is with the windscreen wiper - its a design fault.

I get approx 30 to the gallon.

The V6 is allegedly much much better than the 200k - if you can afford it get a V6 2.6L if only for the posey sound.

Good luck - they really are a good buy - I was offered £ 30k for a 10 month old car which cost me £ 34k with the extras.

I bought a CLK 320 a couple of months ago a 52 plate - fully loaded command, parktronic, heated seats, bi-xenons, leather etc and no problems with those at all. The car itself had a couple of minor problems with the ASSYST but apart from that it was (and still is) great - however that could not be said of the dealer I bought the car from, the salesman was helpful making the sale, but it was a complete shambles from that point onwards - complaints have been made to MB UK and they intervened - I would strongly recommend buying from a dealer that is nearby as otherwise they know you arent going to travel 200 or so miles to demand things get sorted out.
With so many BMW and TT Coupes on the road you get a more admiring and courteous reaction from other drivers
