Keith

Hello. I was a regular customer at Ciceleys when they were here in Preston and I always had great service from them. I found them to be helpful and knowledgeable and was sorry to hear that the group had closed down their Preston garage earlier this year.

I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know the name(s) of the technicians who worked on my car and I wonder if Gary was one of them. I'm Russell Beaumont and mine was the 2004 E320 CDi. It was last serviced by Ciceleys in June 2009.

It's really good to know that at least one of their crew has got a job and hopefully a successful future. Let's hope he comes on the forum! Be good to know if the others are OK as well.

All the very best Gary.

Russ.

On a good note though soon we will have more indies than members needing help :rolleyes: No not really:D

But it does mean that the advice that we here offer can only get better and better, and we do have more indies than any other forum by a long way, and that will benefit everyone

Very good question, Malcolm .

Sorry to come back on this, but what has always puzzled me was, that if you take something off,,then you have to be able to re fit the new one,, An angle grinder wold not help.

Had the crank shaft been turned round ,,there is a hole in the pulley where you can use a socket to undo the bottom bolt of the water pump

Malcolm, I always try to put it as a joke but it really bother me that someone is working in this way on cars of others. I must tell you I learn from it. I think we all should speak our experience honest and loud in order to protect each other. Many thanks again.

Regards,

Robert

But the garage in question only charges £45.00 an hour think of the petrol and money you save when you come home on a recovery truck
