New members questions about 230 SL

Hi Folks
I have just imported a 1966 230 SL which was supplied with only the star on the boot lid. I would like to display the 230 SL badge on the left hand side. Can any one give me a part number please?"

As a matter of fact I would be more than interested in finding out more about this car as it was quite unusual, it has the original VIN plate from Stuttgart and another from Tokyo where I assume it was first registered. I have imported this beautiful 48 year old classic from Japan, it has just cleared customs so it will be a few days before I can see it to answer any supplementary questions there might be.

Also, you may well already be aware, but in case not, the company whose sole raison d'etre is W113 Pagodas, is Roger Edwards Motors in Amersham.

The last time I was in there, Gavin had no less than six of them in the workshop.

Given the choice I think Gavin & Paul would bar all other chassis types from entering the works; they are that in thrall to them!
