21 EQC 400 Premium Plus
So took out an EQC today. Very nice car/drive but if i take the plunge i want brilliant blue & prem +. No dealership in the country have this spec (plenty of premium). Then was told that delivery would be March 21 but cant give a price until they see what happens with the final depart from brexit. So you can order the car but the cost is unknown. Even the salesman said it’s madness and how do you sell cars like that. Even the model X tesla is March delivery

Had an EQC for a long weekend, nice car but and a big BUT, miles are no where near what they state and the infrastructure isn’t there. Not for me, I’m out.

I think we will be replacing the Renault Zoe with one in the near future. I cannot deal with the zoe's horrible drive much more.

For us, it works as a concept. 150-190mi realmworld, covers the commute easily, bit of shopping on both ends, errands etc.

Charges at the workshop and at home, so always full when you leave.

Came home with 3/4 charge, put It on charge at 8pm on basic home charger supplied, It wouldn’t be charged Until 11 the next morning. So if only used for school runs, shopping or small commutes, it’ll be fine but if I was spending £70k on a car, I would want to drive as far as I wanted to without having to find a decent charging point, with something I wanted to do whilst it charged.

True, but a 7kw home charge cuts the time by half, you can do a full charge in 8 hours.

What happens at 2am when someone in the house has a medical emergency and you don't have enough power to reach a hospital?
Might not mean much down in London, but places in the north of Scotland, that would mean a 9 hour round trip!

I totally get where you're coming from...and the answer at the moment is you don't buy an electric vehicle.
This will all be sorted out by 2030, or whenever the petrol/diesel ban comes into force in the UK.

Drove from oxford area to Norwich, one quick stop to get some charge to allow us to get thereOn time, but had to visit 5 charging points to get back, they were either broken, taken up or wrong charge rate and every time you stop, you go and get a coffee and bun. 3.5 hrs extra in the car and 2 stone heavier. :(
Im going to buy a £30k car, spend £20k on fuel and £20k in the bank. I might go electric when I retire and don’t want to go anywhere.
