Hi

Ive just inherited a w202 220 cdi on a 99 plate, due to sentimental reasons i would like to keep the car which will require some work and tlc.

With being new to the forum, can anyone advise on where i can obtain parts that do not require dealership prices also i would be grateful for any technical diy help on the following replacements further to purchasing a haynes manual.

1) I am need to change the alternator clutch and tension pulley - would it be cheaper to just replace the alternator?
2) Fuel tank sensors
3) Injector seals
4) Steering idler
5) Clutch worn/judders
6) front ball joints

Thankyou for any advice given!

welcome aboard

Nice car.
I get my bits from Euro Car Parts, German Swedish and French, the dealers( they aren't always that costly, and occasionally, are the only source of new parts) and Mercman, PC Merc centre, other Merc breakers and e-bay.

between that lot, you'll find you have it covered, and won't break the bank, just bend it a bit.

After all those years of venerable service, the Space Shuttle is finally put out to stud......

ah yes

after an afternoon of carrying my girls on my shoulders, I thought it summed up my role in life quite nicely.
It is the 'Buran' Soviet version of the shuttle though. I found it when i was looking for pictures of the An 225 it sits on.
