I am looking to buy a W126 420 or 500 SEC. My plan is to run the car for several years as my main or only car.
I have no mechanical knowledge at all really, so when I bought my last car I got the RAC to do a vehicle inspection - would you recommend doing the same for a car like this or would they lack the specific expertise?
Are there people you can pay to check out an old merc for you? I don't mind paying a hundred quid or so to save me spending several grand...
