Newbie help please E320 CDI

Hi

Having read through various threads and getting more worried by the moment , I'm hoping some of you can allay a few of my fears ?:-?

I am about to spend roughly 11K on a E320 CDI but have been looking at reasonably low mileage 03 plates, having read the reports on radiaotors , Valeo verus Behr, do I get a higher mileage newer one or change the rad on a 03 plate, if so, how much is a rad and where do i get one from ?

Any other tips on buying and what to look out for would be really appreciated.

Why are you worried about radiators specifically?

Having read the threads regarding the valeo rads up to Sept 03, and they should be avoided or should be replaced with the Behr rads as coolant can get into the G/box etc ?

If I'm wrong please tell me ?

If the car has a Behr rad it is marked on the rad, if you get a car with a Valeo you could change it, around £200 and that is a small price for the peace of mind that it would offer, cars after 09-03 are clear of this fault.

They are super cars, and so nice,,get one after 04-04 and it will be galvanized
