Newbie - ML320 questions

Hi,

Just brought a 3 year old ML 320 Auto - picking up next week. Are there any particular things I should check out for at all - apologies if I am redirected to an FAQ list but could not see anything obvious. I have heard a lot of negative things with regard to these cars so hoping that all is not doom and gloom....

This affected the prefacelifted cars. The post facelifted cars which this one is are a lot better.

I had a 2002 ML 320 with everything on it, including AMG kit/wheels etc. It was a great car. The only downside was the rate at which it ate brake pads. Economy was between 19 and 29 MPG which I was more than happy with given the size/weight of the vehicle.

Mine happily took all the family and our luggage through France effortlessly.

Local Dealer Watford Area

Thanks for the replies - good to see that the facelift was a better bet. Will provide some feedback over the next few months to confirm or deny this!

Only previous experiance of a 4x4 was a range rover - the version previous to the current. Great car let down by lots of niggly problems but a reasonable dealer network. I live in Berkhamsted which is near Hemel Hempstead and Watford - any views on which dealership to deal with. There is a Mercedes Direct in HH and I am sure watford has a main dealer but views and comments most welcome

I would avoid MB direct outlets personally. they dont seem to be as professional as the franchised network.
