Newbie with a Sprinter...

Hi guys, just found your forum tonight & thought I'd introduce myself. Was looking for some info on alloy wheels with the new Sprinter 6-130PCD but it seems there's no other vehicle on the road that uses this stud pattern! Have found a company to supply 8.5 x 18" load-rated wheels now however.

I own a Sprinter 318CDI XLWB and have had 312D & 316CDI in the past, for delivering signs around the country & this looks like a handy forum! Are there many of you Sprinter owners? Owner drivers (motorhomes, race support vans etc)? I use mine mainly for the business & it's a great van for towing and is the 'motorsport hospitality complex' at weekends too. Couldn't live without it now....

hi, you could try finding a porshe camerara 4x4 thats been smashed as i sure they are the only other motor on the road with the same stud pattern and are already heavy duty. the only trouble is that they only come in about 20''-22''. i seen a sprinter with soom on and they look quite cool and didn't look hiddious atall

WIS for the new sprinters suggest that alloys are fitted as it shows a wheel nut torque settings for alloys and steel wheels.

Would VW van wheels not be the same, perhaps they made some alloys in that fitment? I'd imagine tyres would be critical too as you'd need commercial tyres with the proper ply rating rather than 'ordinary' speed rated car tyres?
