Hi Guys , I am new to this club , in fact I happen to join today . My Dad bought a Mercedes w204 2011 , it runs fantastic .. it’s done about 45000 thousand miles . It was parked in my garage for a week and we hadn’t driven it . I went up to my car sat inside , turned the key and there was no ignition or any lights on the dash , though my steering is not locked . I am so confused what could it be . Can anybody tell me what’s going on ?

Also I checked through scanning to find the fault but because there is no display and ignition it’s not showing the damn fault .

As above, I'd suspect your battery has given up the ghost and needs replacing.
A quick check on the voltage should confirm its state of charge. A battery shouldn't go flat after a week in a garage at this time of year.

I’m not convinced it’s your ignition switch but, the place below is reputable and many on this forum have used them. They offer a mobile service too.

Even if an ignition switch is faulty I’d still expect some lights on the dash. The above company will help with regards to the EIS and ESL.

New batteries are not infallible.
Have you checked the voltage before trying to start the car?

As above and even that there maybe a drain on it.
And Mercedes do like a healthy battery.....
