Good morning All,
Apologies if in the wrong discussion group, but was after some advice on NOX Sensor Fault, and the link to Adblue.
Upon reading many posts on here and other forums about Nox sensors and the dreaded Adblue fault, they always tend to come very close together. And that is also my own experience. So engine light first, read it, and get a NOX Sensor 2, Bank 1 fault (pre catalytic I believe). Clear it, knowing I'll get it booked into the garage or replace if possible. And then literally days later, get the Adblue Fault, and 500 mile countdown.
Surely these two are linked? And so my question to many of you who will know more than me, is are they directly linked? In that if the NOX has a fault significant enough to put on the amber engine light, it then alters or stops the adblue system from working as a fail safe? Or something similar.
I fully appreciate they are linked by the combined system they offer the car, but are they also linked in this way when an error occurs? And if so, does that mean once the NOX is fixed/replaced, then the adblue issue is likely to go away?
Thoughts and experience is very much appreciated
Thank you.
