I'm not sure if anyone else has a habit of noticing crooked number plates, some I've seen lately are on brand new cars, surely these should be picked up when the person goes to pick there new motor up from the garage.
It puts my OCD into overdrive! But many people don't care.I'm not sure if anyone else has a habit of noticing crooked number plates, some I've seen lately are on brand new cars, surely these should be picked up when the person goes to pick there new motor up from the garage.
I do, and it REALLY bugs me, and some are totally cockeyed.I'm not sure if anyone else has a habit of noticing crooked number plates, some I've seen lately are on brand new cars, surely these should be picked up when the person goes to pick there new motor up from the garage.
Oh yes i see plenty of crooked number plates around , some on brand new cars! I once followed a brand new Bentley continental convertable GT absolutley beautiful car only ruined by a wonky rear plate! Makes me wonder if the owner ever noticed it? But how did it leave the dealer like it?? Standards are slipping and shoddy work taking over finnishing the final details of a carI'm not sure if anyone else has a habit of noticing crooked number plates, some I've seen lately are on brand new cars, surely these should be picked up when the person goes to pick there new motor up from the garage.

When i worked in the motor trade many moons ago, if anyone inc myself put plates on as wonky as a donkeys hind leg then you were in a whole heap of trouble, quality control was enforced very strictly , nowadays it seems like a slap dash attitude is prevelent and a don't care attitude , churn them out and take the money, or is it just me being fussy about the small details ??
When i worked at a Ford dealership all new cars were PDI checked as usual then checked again well before handover so anything not right inc wonky plates were rectified and person who did bad job was given a good talking too and possibly a "damn good thrashing!" Ha! ( Terry Thomas quote there) obviously not but you get what i mean, i worked in the bodyshop and the remit there was ....do job properly or not at all and go homeStrangely enough in all of the 45 years + I worked in the Motor Industry I cannot remember a single wonky number plate on a car supplied to us. However if they had been supplied with wonky number plates. I am sure they would have been rejected which may be the reason I never saw them as I was involved in fleet disposals not sales.
No, it's not just you.

Basil Fawlty came to mind first when I read that...but yeah can also picture Terry Thomas saying something like that also.person who did bad job was given a good talking too and possibly a "damn good thrashing!" Ha! ( Terry Thomas quote there)

Really admired Terry as an actor.
Pity we couldn’t read the dealers name on the plate and sent them the photo with the caption “Really”
