Hi, I am looking to buy the cheapest, OBD II with SRS Reset that will work on my SL350 2008, but also on other cars. Any that someone can recommend?

I have found many that says SRS read, but nothing specific about resetting or erasing the fault code. I know what the problem is, well, there isn't one anymore, but once that light comes on, it needs a scanner to turn it off apparently, and that's really what I need, but if I'm going to buy one of these things, might as well get a good cheap all rounder.

Nonetheless, ive been looking and its a minefield, i dont want to buy something and then find that it doesn't work... so one that you guys know works on Mercedes.

Any help greatly appreciated...

Oh, I should say, that I dont want to spend over a couple of hundred quid, 250 at a stretch if its worth it, but, if someone knows of one for £50 that does what I need, then that would be amazing!

Thank you.

Autel AP200 might do the trick, I have one and amazed at the function for the cost

An icarsoft i980 will reset a Merc :)
But not anything else.

The multi brand readers fall into two camps.

1. Can talk to all modules
2. Can talk to a subset of modules.

These then break down into 2 further camps.

1. One time cost for all supported brands/models.
2. Annual subscription cost for each brand supported after the first one.

If you want no additional cost the iCarsoft CR range is probably as good as it gets at the budget end. These are standalone units.

If you don't mind an annual subscription for any brand after the first one the Autel AP200 is very reasonable but each brand after the first will cost £20 per annum. The AP200 is phone based with a dongle.

Thanks for all the replies, I'm looking at the icarsoft cr pro. It does many manufacturers and apparently can reset srs!

Thanks again!
