the 215 has been parked up for a good while now , although I run it around to keep everything moving / free , this morning was different however , he had sunk quite low on the OSR which hasn't happened before , so I started him up , levelled the suspension and left him to idle for a while , was about to hop in and run about abit when noticed a pool of oil around the OSR wheel , yep the strut is leaking quite badly , so not sure what to do now ? is it worth the time and effort sorting a pair of rear struts ? or sell him as is ? crap start to my working day

^ This exactly. I suspect that it will be difficult to sell with what some will see as a major problem, and you'll probably regret it later. Not earth shattering costs to sort either. But I know what you mean about these "that's it" moments!

yeah its a real pig in a poke , I think if I hadn't recently bought a Hemi 300c I may just have ordered a pair of struts and I only gave 1200 for him 18 months ago so if I got that back id have no complaints really , I could go the coilover route also , recently done this on my 300c and I'm well happy with the results

What about doing all the corners , then selling the non leaking struts (3?) on eBay , then it’s all done with new oil in one go ?

its thought wighty but I really don't feel hes in good enough condition to warrant the effort and looking on fleebay there are plenty of 2nd hand struts for sale so its not like they are rare

ive found them on there in a pair for under 500 pal , best double check whats failed but its looking promising to repair it

That’s good. Of the struts I ordered, they arrived within a week; one failed immediately on fitting. Sent in a replace parts query via the AliExpress app, the replacement arrived in under a week, £37 voucher for my troubles and please trash the failed unit tyvm. I was really impressed.

Pipe is cheaper than strut pal

i think its too far gone after looking at the rest of it pal , is the S class the same pipe work ??
