Oil cooler leak maybe?

Hi...I'm new here hoping for some guidance and advice.
I have a 2014 ml250 diesel which has done 42k and developed an oil leak. I'm getting a drip on the tarmac overnight and MB suspect it's the oil cooler/heat exchanger near the oil filter housing.

They also said they'd replace the cooler rather than reseal it as in their experience, a reseal fails again after 6 months or so...all for the bargain price of £700 ish!

I've had a look and it looks like an absolute pig of a job...can barely see it let alone remove it so I wondered if anyone had experience of the job?

Hi...I tried that for servicing but by buying a service pack, it worked out cheaper main dealer than my local independent specialist . I have a couple of people in mind to do the job but was hoping someone here had done it and give me a clue on complexity and time. Cheers

A good Indy could be around 50% cheaper

I have done two of these in this week! Really getting to be a common problem! It’s only the oil filler neck which leaks but merc only sell the whole unit!!
