Oil Filter 1992 W 129 - Advice please

Hello Guys
Can someone advise me if the oil filter on my w129 300sl 24v is in the cannister with the screw top just right of the engine block as when I opened it , it was full of oil with a plastic tube in the centre but no actual fliter. Thanking you. Pete
ps where is the april meet being held

That is where it should be, seems like someone removed the filter, and either did not change it, or did not have the right one to suit.

Please instal one today, lots of heart break coming if you do not.

Peter. what you described sounds like the power steering reservoir. The filter should be the normal screw on type.
