There is no dip stick on this car. you can check the level by switching on the ignition, using the right hand side paddle and selecting service, and scroll down to oil level.
There is a you tube video which describes this in full. Just type in...." How to check oil level on Mercedes C220d. Mercedes oil level? ".
Hope that helps.

Great pity. I sympathise with the OP. With the reliability of MB electronics you'd think they'd provide a backup in the form of a dipstick.

Well, that's my jaded view.

If your vehicle is a W203 I have the engine dipstick Pt # 120.589.07.00. 08/07. And the flexi gearbox dipstick. My Mercedes dealership very reluctantly supplied both.

You are welcome to them; however, the engine dipstick is nearly 3 feet long and I wouldn't trust it in the post. PM me with your location.

Another particularly stupid idea. Some d head trying to reinvent the wheel. There is nothing wrong with a simple dipstick. By all means hav the electronic rubbish but keep the simple, unbeatable dipstick. Only a few quid to replace. I bet the electrical kit is not small money.
