I read with interest somewhere in the forum that you should walk away from V8 cars if they show signs of oil in the air cleaner box. It appears this oil comes from the breather pipe.
Can someone explain the significance of this and how big a problem it is? I have it on my 1985 380 SE (134k and FSH). The car runs quietly and smoothly.
I checked the other 380 SE I have (used for spares) and found that this had the same problem (160k unknown SH).
