oil leaking thru tiny hole in valve cover of E300 turbodiesel 1996

Hi:

I know the valve actuators sometimes get locked, either in the open or close positions; could this be causing the valve cover space to fill up with oil?
Which would be released by the tiny hole (from factory) on the left side (near the cabin) of the valve cover?

Hi and welcome sorry to say that I do not quite follow your post,, when you say valve actuators, do you meant the lifters or rockers
