I would like some touch up paint for my 1994 R129, is the paint code info on the car VIN plate or else where?
In particular I would like to get hold of the paint for the bumper / side trim.

thanks for any help / advice

The satin finish is standard 2k paint with 10% matting agent added, and that is undetectable from the original.

PAint Code for 1991 R129

I just joined the forum and seek the codes for the lower body panels.

My VIN is WDBFA66E1MF016819. The main body code is 702 but I cannot locate the lower code.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Les

I believe that member "grober has the codes for the lower panels, lets hope he see the post, just for reference there is a 10% mating agent for these panels.

Yes there is, be careful they don't "matt" it too much because the less gloss you have the harder it is to take off the bugs without leaving a stain. A little bit more gloss is your friend - on the front bumper at least.

You do have a good point there as the original paints can no longer be used, they were much harder.
