Can someone please confirm the following. I have a c220 2006 year model Merc. The passenger side door mirror does not demist whereas the driver side one does when it's frosted etc.. The dealer tells me that only the driver side one is heated. I find this hard to believe as virtually every other car I have owned heats both door mirrors ?

My w203 C class i have just noticed the drivers side does not demist but the passenger Does.

I have just posted a thread re folding in door mirrors and that a dealer has told me the wires break easy when the mirrors are always being folded in and out constantly

That is very true, the wires are very thin, and not that flexible

i take it then that the dealer has lied saying the passenger door mirror is not heated.

That could be the case,, I believe that these are CAN operated to work work for X time when the car is started

I think that they heat when the outside temperature is below 7 degrees celsius. Both mine defrost fine.

We have been into this exstensivly and there is no thermostat involved, and more in keeping with a cold start,, no one has found a definate answer
