Petrol tank capacity

I have a 1994 C180 classic (W202).

Does anyone know how many miles I can expect to get out of a full tank of gas (motorway, urban or combined)???

If someone is only able to quote a MPG figure, could they also please tell me how many gallons/litres the tank will take.

Why don't you read your handbook All that info will be in it .Nobody can tell you how many miles to the gallon your car does .You should know that your self.My Cclass does 35-38mpg.

'landover' is, in one sense, correct. Your inquiry is similar to like asking 'how long is a piece of string?'. What is your driving style? Are you gentle, lead-footed, etc. Any problems with your car that could affect fuel economy? Etc., etc.

However, here are some 'official' figures for you taken from my Owners Manual. I've done the conversion to (mpg) for you. You don't say whether your car is automatic or manual?

Manual

Urban: 12.7 L/100km (22mpg)
Extra-urbam: 7.2 L/100km (39mpg)
Overall: 9.2 L/100km (31mpg)

Automatic

Urban: 12.8 L/100km (21mpg)
Extra-urban: 7.3 L/100km (38mpg)
Overall: 9.3 L/100km (30mpg)

Your petrol tank size (Litres) is 62L+7L reserve.

I am currently monitoring the fuel consumption in my M-B and my range, if I ignore the 'yellow' fuel level indicator, is approximately 400 miles per tank. The indicator illuminates at 340 miles (approx) but I suspect I could exceed 400 miles before I risk emptying the tank completely.

On a long run I can expect well over 400 miles before refilling.
