Looking at the brochure for the New CLC class, MB make much of the economy of the 160 Blue Efficiency model. When you turn to the spec pages at the back you find that the 160 BE is 11.2 sec to 100kph and the 180 Komp is 9.7 to 100 KPH. OK, but what about the efficiency you benefit from in exchange for this lower performance. . Well:-
160 Blue Efficiency 28.8, 51.4, 39.8
180 Kompressor ... 28.5, 50.4, 39.2
So for buying an emasculated underpowered car on the pretext of it being green you achieve bog all in economy.
Oh yes and the Co2 is (160 BE) 169 (180K) 170.
Who do they think they are kidding ??
