Hi new member here, great to see so much advice and help
I have recently purchased a W124 coupe 1993 300CE I have noticed that on cold start it takes quite a few revolutions 4-5 to actually fire (is this normal). Also i have noticed that once up to normal operating temp if engine switched off and left for about 20 mins when it is restarted it misfires for a couple of seconds and then clears, once running all is ok.
A couple of friends also own coupes a 300CE and 300CE 24V both advised me to check plugs, cap and rotor all have been replaced as soon as i purchased the car but problem still persists. The car has covered 80,000 miles full MB history, do these engines suffer from sticky injectors as thats what it feels like.
Other than the above problems i cannot fault the car it is an absolute pleasure to drive.
If anyone has any advice it will be gratefully recieved
Thanks
Matt
