That is exactly what happened, once I touched the wet grass I was just a passenger, I have cuts and bruises but generally feeling lucky because it hit a tree in the passenger side and wrote it off, I cant believe it my lovely old CLS is gone
The roads are like a third world country round here, this was on the main A52 east coast link rd and yes the pothole was a goodun, heres the culpritHope you are okay.

Oh I see it was a line of broken up road, yes the roads around here are shocking, I see motorist weaving along the roads now to avoid pot holes and I am one of them.
Oh yeah, the police made them come out immediately and fix it because they had attended a damaged car from the same hole two weeks before and nothing had been done, my insurance comp is straining at the leash to go to town on them kiwi

Our council spent £1.4 mil on pot hole damage cases last year and that is only the 9% of claims that were successful, the rest failedBut cheaper than repairing the road
Why can't the roads be built and repaired properly.......Oh yes sorry money
Perhaps people see us as being a bit sad but that 15 year old Merc made me smile every time I got in it, I used to spend hours cleaning it each week, it will be missed but perhaps time to look at an ML due to our crap roads now
