Problems starting c270cdi 2002

hi just bought a c270 cdi 2002 was told o rings need replacing. Took it to a garage they said it was fuel sender from the tank so I replaced that but still have the same problem. If I have a full tank starts straight away in the morning if I let it go under half it starts then cuts out like its used up last of fuel then I get a an error message on dash saying epc take to work shop. I have had to use easy start a couple of times to get it going as its an automatic. Any help would be gratefully received thanks in advance

Search 'saddle tank syndrome'... venturi balancing system is not working, either there is a leak or block, or there is no enough tank flow from hp pump to get enough balancing flow.
