hello, new to this forum, actually in USA trying to dodge large pickup trucks. I own a 1983 300D turbo diesel sedan over here, and there is an infuriating lack of manual transmissions.
I have installed a 1981 240D 4-speed, but I am really looking for a 5-speed from somewhere that would fit my car.
Evidently, 300Ds were sold here rarely with manuals, and never in the turbo models. I am trying to source a 5 speed for a 300D non turbo to mate to my engine, and I am looking to see if anyone knows of any cross reference cars I can use when searching over seas. Other models in that chassis style are rare enough to rarely be seen. Mostly there are 240s and 300s and only 4-speed 240s, or 300 non turbos.
Does anyone have any advice on how to find a 123 chassis 5 speed over where you are?
