The rubber boots covering the CV joints on my rear drive shafts are beginning to look a little bit tired but so far not showing any signs of leaking.
I'm not one for replacing until absolutely necessary anything that's still working but after 14 years probably want to be ready with these.
Having looked at the effort involved I am resigned to withdrawing the drive shafts then fitting the correct M-B replacement parts; however the 'split-boot' concept where you cut off the old ones then slip these over and literally glue them together just seems so simple perhaps I could save a lot of said effort?
My question is...does anyone have experience of using these 'split boots' and did they work?
