R230 door mirror indicator replacement

Hello all,
how easy will it be to replace the indicator strip inset in my door mirror casing.
my local indie quoted half a hour a side, easy or a fiddle ?

This depends on the year of the car, the early 2002 were pigs, later ones dead easy

The 2003 mirror you remove the glass, remove the mirror motor drive, remove the 3 screws holding the cover on and that is it.

Yes that is identical to the 2003 onward SLs Nice to know there is a U tube.
