R320L - Venting sound after parking

After stopping, switching off, closing the door and locking the car, as I walk away I hear a noise from he car which sounds like venting or a release of air.

I believe everything is normal on the car, and I only hear the sound after leaving the car.

Any ideas?

Mine does it too. I assume it's the Airmatic suspension venting surplus air ..... they run on airbags, not springs.

My S-Class did the same thing when it had a faulty Airmatic compressor

Our S has done it since new. It's just the car expressing its satisfaction after a job well done

My R-class does this too.

I did think it was normal and quite liked the noise, but recently the suspension sometimes sits low when parked so i'm starting to wonder if it should really happen or not

My R Class has just had a new compressor fitted ....... under warranty :lol:

Might be a sigh of relief
