Hi everyone, i have a rattle in the cat part of my ML's exhaust. A local garage has said its either coming from the cat located behind the turbo charger or the next 2nd cat (didnt know there was 2) or the first one is breaking up and blowing parts into the second. Anyway i am being quoted almost £1,100.00 to have these two parts replaced. Anyone had this problem, anyone gone and got a better deal on an ML's exhaust in particular the very front two sections? Many thanks in advance, Regards, Colin.

I have the 270cdi engine in my CLK. Had both Cats removed last Sept (thanks Alex) and solved the problem and also had lower emissions during MOT than the previous year.

So in short I totally agree with Alex and just have them removed.

So to all those who followed this thread, today i am all sorted thanks to the guys at MBS Southampton. The sorted my rattle, turned out to be problems with my 2 Catalysts! They saved me £££££££'sssss and a lot of worry. I am very happy to now join the scores of happy customers that MBS enjoy.
