Recommend a good tyre place

So despite being in the trade, I have parted ways on my own accord (a story for another day) and as a result need your recommendations for a good tyre place within the midlands.

Must;
- have decent tyre changer machines and balancer
- must allow me to watch
- must not scratch alloys
- good staff and ethical business ops

I'm long out of touch in Mids area, but Southam Tyres (not too far from Leamington) were always well equipped, and came across well during any dealing I had with them.

I live in Southam but always preferred TW Tyres in Rugby. However, Southam Tyres recently did an aircon check for me and when I collected the car he said, We extracted the gas and weighed it. Weight was correct, so we refilled it. Didn't add any gas so can't charge you!'

So, they've gone up in my estimation.

I use ETS mapperly top nottingham.
No rattle guns for putting tyres back. Big and open and I always chat to the lads there.
I used a formula one once - never again.

That saod the midlands is big so anywhere in particular

MTS in Banbury are a really good. Family owned business that seems to try to look after thier customers, I've been going there since 2014 and always see the same chaps there, which I find reassuring.

BMTR on the A34 Perry Barr B/Ham. 1/2 mile from the new Alexander stadium. They have everything you require and a free hot/cold drinks machine to boot.

So, short of fitting out my garage with a tyre machine and balancer to do my own, I got my tyres on the Volvo done on the drive today as I have too much going on at present.

I used tyre shop on Bracebridge Drive, Nottingham and requested the mobile service. They were the first of several I phoned who were happy to fit the tyres I supplied. Others would only come out if you brought from them. When they turned up I had to slap myself and remind myself of my own motto, don’t judge a book by it’s cover, as I probably also look a bit ropey dressed in tyre fitter clothing when I’m not working in private eq.

£80 is punchy! But hey it’s a mobile service, they did the job well, not scratching my lovely wheels, tyres fitted and balanced correctly, jacked the car up properly, used torque wrenches and threaded the nuts by hand etc. They also were accommodating of my schedule changes and I got the job done within 2 hours of calling. I’ll definitely give these guys a go again.

The place down the road from me charged £15 to fit them on my drive .... but I did buy the tyres from them.

Used a new to me tyre house all the bells and whistles but charged me £30 to balance my front wheels !

Found a nail in my tyre, which is odd as its been parked in my drive for the last few days where there was nothing untoward when I reached home... Anyhow, I would like to ask for suggestions on a reliable company that can carry out home repairs... I am assuming this is not covered by Mobilo?

I am using Spare Deal in Nottingham. Bonus that they are local. They have served me fine on the Volvo and Mercs without damaging my wheels and done the job to a decent standard.

No matter how hopeful one is, Mobilo (RAC), of late never ceases to disappoint… ETA 16:00-18:00 now shifts to 20:30-21:00 with no reason…. Just for a flat tyre… I wish I had a tyre kit…

Finally resolved at 20:00 but seems like I still need to take it to a tyre shop to repair it properly??? Thankfully all is well for the start of the week....
