Does anyone know how to remove the air filter housing on an ML-420CDI ? I had the filters out and removed the 2 bolts at front, but can't see what holds it at the back. I'm wanting to get to the hall sensor, which I believe is under this.

Also, anyone have an idea how I get the audio 20 out. I presume it's a case of pull the facia from around the ashtray and then I can get access to the retaining screws.

2008 W164 ML 420

Thanks in advance.

2 more screws at the rear of the filter housings. They have long stems on them and don't at first look like they do anything.

You will also need to recode the engine control modules adaptations to tell it it has new aor filters or it will bring on the engine management light, eventually.

Recode the engine control modules after changing air filters ??? I take it that it's all done on STAR and I can't reset the error code using my Autel code reader. They obviously don't want home mechanics doing anything these days.

Why make things so complicated that you can't even change a filter.
