I hope someone out there can provide the answers or give some advice with this one.
I replaced one of the injector pipes on my mercedes 208d 2.3 OM601.940 engine and started up no problem, then I decided to replace the inline fuel filter and the fuel line to the injector from the main filter. Now I cannot get the vehicle to start, turns over but will not fire up, i understand that the engine may now need priming? How do you go about doing this?
How can I get the trapped air out of the fuel system?
Fuel is going into the main fuel filter and is coming out of the nozzle to the injectors but not going through the fuel line into the injector, I can see this quite clearly. Have tried various methods in an attempt to free the air but nothing has worked to date. Any info on how to do this would be welcomed.
Thanks
Phil

On my old Defender I used to just crack the fuel pipe to injector connection and crank till fuel came out then close the connection again.
