just got a C200 and noticed that it only revs to about 4800rpm , is this normal or if not wats it likely to be ??

It wont rev up in park or neutral, does it happen when driving?

i think you'll find it's 4,600 - All mbs have a lower rev limiter in P and N. Perfectly normal.

ahh rite i was abit worries something was wrong i have only tried the reving in neutral .

when i did test drive the car i do remember seeing it at 5k rpm so sorry about the dumb question .

And my insurance is £800 TPFT on my mums insurance

i did have a fiat punto before this , thank heavens its gone.

If anybody lives near plymouth you'd realise how common the above cars are plus i have drove all the above and hated each one.

GERMAN cars are the way forward .
