Hi chaps,
I am new to this forum so hello to all
Got a bit of a problem with my 56 plate C220cdi auto. The thing has been running really well since I bought it, but recently the performance low down (below about 2500 rpm) is terrible. There is literally no torque whatsoever low down and the car feels truly gutless.
The turbo also seems only to be kicking in at really high revs (i.e. about 3000 rpm) and seems weak compared to how it used to feel.
It also seems to want to stall sometimes before the auto box shifts down and there is a very slight knocking noise at idle (but only at idle) which stops as soon as you give it some revs.
From looking at others posts I wonder whether this could be a MAF sensor problem or maybe a clogged EGR valve (although since the car has only done 30k miles I'm not convinced).
I wonder if any of you could give your expert opinions? What could be the cause of this?
Please help as it is making me hate driving the thing at the moment!
