S211 Odometer after cluster change

Hi All,
I have a 2005 E320CDi which needed a new instrument cluster a while ago. I fitted a second hand part (exact matching part number) and everything is perfect, except the odometer just shows dashes. Can this be programmed on Star to show the correct mileage? If so, is there a Star-equipped independent near Horsham who would like to do this (post lockdown)?

The s/h dash is coded to the old car, so you will need to get it virginised and the coded to your car. I can’t be 100% that it can be virginised.

You probably need to change ssid in cluster (match to eis), I am not sure if clone xentry can do it, Vediamo should. Probably old cluster need to be set 0km first by some eeprom tool first. At some clusters functional chip could be soldering to new cluster and everything is ok after that.

My 215s cluster is original and its showing a similar thing so id wager the LCD has failed in the replacement cluster aswell as needing coding as the others have said

I have replaced a few with secondhand units for customers. The mileage will always show as dashes. If there is a way of correcting it with Star I haven't found it! I have a very good mileage correction guy in Farnborough who can sort it for you, but you will have to take it to him. I'll share his details by PM if you would like.
