BAS is Brake Assist & SRS is Airbag. both of them need to be reset by plugging the car in to a computer. look in your lacal yellow pages for an independant Mercedes Garage to find and rectify the fault and also reset the warning lights.
Cheers
Don.
If The srs light is on it will stay on untill the fault is cleared by a star machine, BAS light will go out when the fault is no longer present after ignition reset, are you sure that your fault display isn't BAS/ ESP this would be more comon
Apologies, you are right its BAS/ESP under 1 light. BAS is Brake Assist * what is ESP? It comes on everytime conering. When the engine restart, it will reset but it will appear again when driving & conering.
Is it right that if I disconnect battery it will be a permanent reset?
This makes it better, should be just the brake light switch that sits over the brake pedal, and held on with a 17mm nut, 2 or 3 wires.
Cost £10 max and easy to do.
