Seatbelt Stop Button

At least I think that's what it's called!

Basically, the wee button which stops the seatbelt clip from falling down to the floor everytime is not on my drivers side belt.

Any idea where I can get one button? At the moment it's a major pain in the ass as I need to keep the door open, fiddle about to find the seatbelt pluggy in thing (anyone know what that is actually called?) and then I can close the door and be on my way!

Hiya Television,

will I find the vin numbers on the windscreen of the car?

You will find it there,,but I think that you will find that if you pop into your local MB dealer they will have one in stock

Just go to the dealers and ask for one, I did, they probably will not even charge you as it is not worth the paperwork.

Comes in two halves, just push it through the belt, easy to fit.

Pretty sure they are common to most cars these things - you will find loads in your local scrappy. Although depending on the weather you'll need your wellyboots!

Nothing wrong with good contaminated mud, so powerful that you walk out of your wellies

Surely, a man of your calibre would have willing volunteers ready to look round the scrap yard on your behalf?

Sad to say that I am in no way a consumer,,if it breaks then I will do anything rather than buy a new one, just the effect of growing up through the war

You are of course quite right - I take a look in the scrap yards regularly.

You never know what will turn up and if you can't find what you want you can always scavenge for lightbulbs and other common multi-car trinkets! MB bits usually noticeable by their absence though.

Went to MB today and they gave me the button and fitted it for me for free! Should have been about £25 all in, so really happy with the MB service experience so far!

Maybe a little premature?!

Maybe a good dealer thread is what we need on here, you have gone there, more than happy with the result, tell others, they get more work and good comments, so it goes on!!! never happen i know but we read so much bad things on here, sometimes it good to know where the good dealers are, we are lucky on the south coast, cant think of a bad dealer down here!!

Yep MB in Hull Great Dealer, fitted me a black seat belt stud for free as well.
I think it's some sort of heat gun or soldering iron fitting required so scrap cars may not be any good to get a part from? Welcome any corrections on this as I'm not sure.
