Sequentronic fault.

Hello,
Have been browsing the forum for some time having purchased a Cdi 220 coupe about 12 months ago. It was imported from England and has the 6 gear Sequentronic box which apparently was not available here in Ireland which means that I may be the only person in Ireland with one. The downside is that dealers do not have the equipment to diagnose faults.
Over the past few months the onboard computer is showing a Transmiss-visit workshop display/malfunction. This originally started when I could'nt get the car into gear from rest but after a short break, it would somehow rectify itself and show no malfunction and not happen again for some time. However, recently it has malfunctioned while driving, going into safe mode but if the car is stopped and restarted the malfunction again dissappears and we can continue as before.
Just wondering if anyone has come across this problem or what the possible cause might be.
Thanks.

To be totally honest without a fault diagnostics you wont really know what is causing the fault, As its all mainly electronics that do all the work may be a loose connection to a ECU error which is making this happen, might be worth getting a report done from a dealer or an independent, the software should be standard and include you transmission type.

Thanks, rajinder for your reply- Hope its as simple as that. Since its intermittent it makes it more difficult to diagnose.

John.
