I've been quoted £69/month for a 3 year service plus contract for my July 2004 E320CDI, 18,000 miles on the clock, estimated annual mileage 15,000 miles, just had a D service. I'm seriously considering it. One thing that isn't clear in the contract though is what happens if you terminate the contract early i.e. sell the car within the contract period. Do you just stop paying at that time or is there a withdrawal period?

Any help/advice appreciated.

you can sell the service contract on to the next owner, which is the best option. Alternatively they review how much you have had done otn the contract (e.g. any services) and charge you upto a maximum of 3 months payments. They also charge you extra if you go over your specified milage.

Having said that, I can not recommend Service Plus enough. Thanks to MB's being complete and utter cr*p (well mine anyway) I have had about £3000 worth of work done in the last 9 month all covered by service plus - that excludes the little problem I had with Tesco petrol which tesco paid for.

If you search the forum you will see the extent of the work I have had done. Don't forget it includes your MOT too.

btw, based on some other quotes posted recently that seems a good price. I pay just over £70 but that is only for 1 year, based on 20k per year
