When i engage cruise control on my SEC 500 the autobox feels as though its moving thru the gears down and up. Can't quite tell which gears but i can feel the shift which doesn't seem to stop. Any ideas?
It is quite normal for the autobox to change gears with the cruise engaged. If you come to a hill the cruise will open the throttle to maintain the speed up the hill, if the hill is steep enough this will result in the box changing down just as it would if you tried to maintain the speed manually by putting your foot down. At the top of the hill as the cruise backs off the throttle, the box will change back up.........Is this what is happening?
thanx for reply. No, thats not whats happening in, as the shifting gears happens on a relatively flat stretch of the road. The cruise is now also intermittently working, so there is obviously a prob with the cc unit.
