Hi Guys 'n Gals

Have benefitted by all your experience before - so will ask this;

Having experienced one too many probs with '53 ML 270......... thought i'd try my luck with above. HOWEVER - have seen many issues concerning the dodgy gearboxes ( caused by the water ingress from radiator a 3 > 4k repair) ..... & malfunctioning electrics. Also, potential purchase is the in-line 6 rather than later v6.

QUESTION - do owners REALLY have that many probs with these too ?

WHAT checks should i carry out ?

Should i buy a later model ........... is there a 'good' year after which QC issues were addressed ............??

Any help/advise appreciated

Many thx

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
The thing is to buy a car built in mid 2004,,then you are sure of none of the problems,,from this point in time they are great cars
