Hello

I am trying to find out about a particular MB diesel engine - the six cyclinder 3 litre turbo engine code 603.960 around 1988/93 ish probably the E class.
It's for an engine swap into a range rover and as I have already found out - no electronics involved on this particular engine, mechanical fuel pump etc.
Wonderful, no ecu to go wrong...
Any opinions on the engine and any ideas where I might find the specs please - size/diamentions/weight/hp/torque.

Thanks for any advice

There is an ECU which controls idle speed and EGR.

It's not as bad as later ECUs - it isn't coded to the car or anything difficult like that. As long as you get all the wiring and the ECU, it should work OK.
