Sl 320 buying advise please

Hi all
ive been offerd a 1992 /93 sl 320,wich seems priced ok,no mot wants 3k.
just wondered what i should be looking for,as regards sl 320 faults,apart from the usal,checks ie water pressure,oil pressure,smokes,rattles,vibrates,bangs !

any advice welcome,as i dont whant to buy a cheap car that turns into ab expensive hoby

Seems expensive for one with no MOT

First of all I would check old MOT stuff from http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/

Check with owner why it has failed MOT then you would be in a better position to know what is required to put it on the road. If no recent MOT you could always ask them to pay for one to identify the reasons for failing.

After that make sure everything works as it should.

Was not this the bad year for the wiring harness, though if it is it should have been done by now.

They do not rust easily, the hood components are the most expensive bits to fix or replace, great cars that you can feel proud of and they are timeless
