:?: Hi there
Can anyone tell me a.s.a.p when the SL 350 was first available in the UK, I thought it was March 2003 but I am about to buy one from a Mercedes Dealership which was registered on 10th January 2003. The car seems fine but I am unsure how this car would be here so early I do know that it is a UK car and not an import the vehicle ID No. is : WDB 230467 2F 039653 X and the reg no: WN52ENU.
Any information would be helpful as I am due to pick up the car after the weekend and would just like to be sure it is right.

Thank you all
Michael

Hi Michael

I dont know the history on this model, however it seems reasonable that a car was registered a few weeks in advance of the main launch if it was say a dealers demo vehicle or similar. Have you checked who the previous owner(s) are?

Have you seen the HPI report at the dealer? If not or if your still unsure the AA do a vehicle check over the phone, costs around £30 I think. You give them the registration and VIN and they can confirm things like finance, exact model, registration date and if its been subject to theft or major damage. It seems to me that the cost of the check would be worthwhile in your case.

Good luck

Mark

:D My thanks to Mark and Jay for your advise, I am going ahead with my purchase of the SL and will be picking it up in the morning from MB Bristol very happy but much poorer. I have signed up today for club membership and so I am afraid you will be hearing more from me.
