SL320 Front Grill

Having just purchased my second Merc, a 1999 SL320 (R129) which I'm having a full blown affair!!!! I would like to replace the front grill for a 6 fin chrome type. I have searched and searched but the only one I have seen is a pattern part, £180.00 from Taiwan.

Would be grateful for any further suggestions as to suppliers.

Your car should have the 6 bar grill on it, the fins are made of titanium from the off cut from the turbines on jet engines.

A member here used to re do them polished,,I will see if I can find him.

Is your damaged, or did you just want the chrome look

Hi Malcolm. The SL does have a 6 fin on it which is like a copper colour. There is very slight damage to some of the fins but not mutch. I thought chrome would look better but if I can refurb the original, that would be even better keeping the car original.
